Application Process
We have recently updated our application process making it year-round and easy to apply!
For more information on how to get started, click here.
Applications are avaible now online through our website. You are also welcome to call our office and we can get you the information emailed directly to you.
Please note that our applications are different for the training center than filling out a Local Union 441 application.
To help with your application processing faster here are a list of items you will need to have when applying:
- Copy of your Birth Certicate
- Copy of your Social Security Card
- Copy of your High School Diploma or Homeschool Diploma
- Copy of your current valid Class C driver’s license
- If you are military or veteran and want to claim educational benefits, provide a copy of your DD214 form
*If you have additional schooling or certificates in the trade and would like to share, please provide copied documentation on that as well.
After you have completeed filling in the application and turned in all the information listed above, PPATKS office will process your completed application. Once processed you will be sent an email from Nicole (nlawrence@ppatks.org) with information on the next steps of the application process. In this email you will be given a day and time to come into either the Topeka or Wichita training facilities. After we receive the results of your tests and you have completed them we will also be contacting you to go in and take a drug screen. Once the drug screen comes back and everything looks good, we will then send you a certified letter with a time and date for an interview. The interview day and time will not be changed to fit your schedule.
PPATKS will continue to keep you posted throughout the application process. Most all of your notifications will be delivered through email so make sure we have the correct address on file. Please make sure you keep your contact information current with the PPATKS office. This will help insure that we are able to contact you when needed.
