We are accepting applications March 4-15, 2019 at various locations (see below).
For more information on how to get started, click here.
The first two full weeks is when our application packets are available to be filled out at Workforce Centers.
Please note that the application process only takes place once a year. All of the Workforce Centers listed have been instructed to have you fill out an application packet. There are a few things you will need with you when you go and apply:
- Must present a valid Class C driver’s license and be insurable.
- High School Diploma with a CERTIFIED SEALED Transcript (envelope must not be opened before application) or GED with Test Scores.
- Must provide a copy of your Certified Birth Certificate or proof of citizenship or proof of legal work status.
- Must complete a Work Keys test through the Workforce Center. You will need to call your local WorkForce Center to make an appointment to take this test. Testing takes about 2.5hrs.. A copy of your testing scores is what we will need for your application packet.
- Must pass Drug Screen
After you have turned in a completed appliation packet (all the information listed above) we will then send you a certified letter with a time and date for an interview. Once all interviews are compelete we will then send out another letter stating your ranking score (1 being the number we start pulling so the lower your number the better your chances) . Typically we will start placing apprentices to work as soon as June 1st but we have until September 1st before we stop taking apprentices into the program. We do not know from year to year how many apprentice we are going to bring into the program. This decision is made based on Signatory Contractor needs.
