Application Process

We have recently updated our application process making it year-round and easy to apply!

Application packets are available to be filled out at Workforce Centers or you can contact our office for more information.

Please note that our applications are different for the training center than filling out a Local Union 441 application. Applications can be filled out and completed a the Workforce Centers listed and have been instructed to have you fill out an application and submit some information.

To help with your application processing faster here are a list of items you will need to have with you when applying:

  • Copy of your Birth Certicate
  • Copy of your Social Security Card
  • Copy of your High School Diploma or Homeschool Diploma
  • Copy of your current valid Class C driver’s license
  • If you are military or veteran and want to claim educational benefits, provide a copy of your DD214 form 

*If you have additional schooling or certificates in the trade and would like to share, please provide copied documentation on that as well.

After you have completeed filling in the application page and turned in all the information listed above, all of the paperwork will then be sent to PPATKS office where your applicaiton will be processed. Once processed you will be sent an email from APT Metrics. This link will direct you to a short video about our trades and expectations. Please note that the video does talk about night school and PPATKS is a day school training facility. Youl also be asked some questions about the trade. After you are done with online link, PPATKS will be notified and you will then we contacted with a time and date to take a short proctored Math test. This test will be done at one of our training facilities. When the Math test is completed we will also be contacting you to go in and take a drug screen. Once the drug screen comes back and everything looks good, we will then send you a certified letter with a time and date for an interview. The interview day and time will not be changed to fit your schedule. 

PPATKS will continue to keep you posted throughout the application process. Please make sure you keep your contact information current with the PPATKS office. This will help insure that we are able to contact you when needed.
